Snow ~Warning: Picture overload!~

Living in South Carolina the chances of a white Christmas are beyond slim to none. Last night around midnight we started getting some flurries. This morning I woke up to 2" of the beautiful white powder! This is the first real snow my girls have ever seen, other than a dusting a couple of years ago. Even as I am typing this, the snow is still falling! So far we have gotten 4" and more is falling!

Maranda and Jaxon having fun.

Caroline and her snow angel! Don't you just love all the colors she has on, she dressed herself.

Maranda caught a snowball with her face!

Catching snowflakes on her tongue.

Jaxon is definitely a snow loving puppy! He was so funny running around and hopping like a rabbit!

Rambler is not so sure about this stuff! He is a stray that I found under a shrub by our back door a month ago.  He was barely alive and starving. He was touch and go for a few days, but is much better now. He is a Fox Hound.  He must have gotten lost while hunting and never made it back to the pack. I placed ad's in the local paper, but no one ever called to claim him. So I guess he is ours now. He is a beautiful dog and has a sweet disposition.

So now I am going to go get another cup of coffee, snuggle up under an afghan, and hook some blankets for the American Girl dolls my girls got for Christmas. I hope you are all having a great day.

New Hat and my wire tree

This is a hat I made for Maranda last night to wear on her field trip today.
I didn't follow a pattern, just sat down and winged it.

I really like how it turned out and it went perfectly with her outfit. If anyone would
like the pattern I will be happy to write it up.

And I already have 3 orders for hats just like it!!

This is a cute little wire tree that my "seester" gave me for my birthday. She also gave me little pumpkin ornaments to go on it. I don't want to just use it at Halloween so I decided to make some snowflakes and stars to go on it for Christmas.

I still have quiet a few to make to fill it up, 22 to be exact.

I think it will be cute to just have snowflakes for January, hearts for February, shamrocks for March, etc. You get the picture.

I hope ya'll are having a great holiday season! We are expecting some "Winter" weather Thursday and I can't wait. I mean if it is going to be this cold it may as well snow right!

Winner! And a Giveaway!!

First off let me just say yeah, I know I am a slacker! I haven't posted on over a week. However I am planning to make up for that. This past week has been a little crazy with sickly children, work, babysitting, work, home, work. You get the point. I love my job teaching Preschool but this time of year is CRAZY!!

I want to show off one little thing first!

I kept this little one Friday night. This is Caden, he is mentioned in a previous post. He is growing so fast. Don't you just love that crooked little grin!

Now onto hookey things. Last week Pammy Sue over at Scottys-Place had a give away and guess who won! That's right ME!
My girls love this and thought it was neat that you can cover a tissue box. (And Pammy Sue, the word "Fugly" hasn't come up at all!) It has actually came in handy with the little runny noses around here this week. Now they are finding other things around the house that I can make covers for. I drew the line at a cover for the television! Ha!

So I thought that since I won, that I would have a giveaway!
This is the first Queen Annes Lace scarf I made. It is done in Caron Simply Soft.  If you would like to be entered just leave me a comment. I will draw a winner tomorrow night!
And if you want to, tell your friends to come on over check it out and enter too!

I hope you all have a great day! Happy Hooking!
